Successful organizations pursue post-program activities to grow their programs, bring attention to their success, share lessons learned with peers, advocate for more funding, and replicate the program beyond its current blueprint.
Nonprofits who actively write papers, make presentations, engage in advocacy work, and/or create a model program understand how to sustain their programs and fully steward the gifts entrusted to them.
It's not enough to deliver a good program. The competition is fierce. The dollars are limited. Nonprofits need to have a vision and a strategic direction beyond the current program or grant to survive, grow, and thrive.
